Together the Town of Southeast & Village of Brewster are celebrating Earth Day 2026 on Saturday April 18 & Sunday April 19! Let's come together as a community to clean up after this crazy winter!

Supplies can be picked up starting April 13 at Village Hall (50 Main Street), Town Hall (1360 Route 22), or Town Highway Garage (10 Palmer Road). See flyer for details regarding pick up times. Supplies can also be picked up on 4/18 and 4/19 from 9am to 12pm at Village Hall (50 Main Street) or Town Hall (1360 Route 22).

For those with students that need community service hours. Please register with the Town Clerk (kchiudina@southeast-ny.gov), track your hours, and take a photo of your child picking up garbage and the Town Clerk will sign off on those hours. It's an easy way to get some hours!

The Town of Southeast is seeking to fill a vacancy on the Town of Southeast Board of Assessment Review. If anyone is interested in applying for this position, please send your letter of interest to assessor@southeast-ny.gov no later than April 15, 2026.

Southeast developed a Stormwater Management Program SWMP to reduce the amount of pollutants entering water bodies within the Town during rain events. This plan, which is a part of the Town's MS4 binder, will be discussed at the 2/19/26 Town Board Meeting.

The Town of Southeast has developed a Stormwater Management Program (SWMP) to reduce the amount of pollutants entering water bodies within the Town during rain events. The Town contributes stormwater flow to 6 waterbodies that have been listed by the New York State Department of Environmental Conservation as impaired. Five (5) of those waterbodies are part of the New York City Watershed, known as the Croton Watershed system.

The Town's SWMP is available to be reviewed by the public at 1 Main Street, Brewster, NY by appointment or on our website at https://southeast-ny.gov/414/Stormwater-Maintenance-Plan---MS4-Binder.  Please call Bruce Bridges at 845-279-8206 or email bbridges@southeast-ny.gov for an appointment.
