2026 Spring Leaf Pickup for Town of Southeast Residents!
Leaf pickup for the Spring of 2026 for Southeast Residents will be Wednesday, May 13, 2026. This service is provided through the assistance of Suburban Carting. Leaf bags must be purchased at a cost of $2.00 per bag at the Town of Southeast Town Clerk's Office - 1360 Route 22 between the hours of 9:00 am and 4:30 pm in order to participate in this program. When you purchase the bags you will be registered for pickup. Bags purchased elsewhere are not eligible for pick-up. The last day to purchase bags is Monday, May 8, 2026. You will be required to have your bags out by 6:00 am the morning of May 13, 2026.

Supplies can be picked up starting April 13 at Village Hall (50 Main Street), Town Hall (1360 Route 22), or Town Highway Garage (10 Palmer Road). See flyer for details regarding pick up times. Supplies can also be picked up on 4/18 and 4/19 from 9am to 12pm at Village Hall (50 Main Street) or Town Hall (1360 Route 22).For those with students that need community service hours. Please register with the Town Clerk (kchiudina@southeast-ny.gov), track your hours, and take a photo of your child picking up garbage and the Town Clerk will sign off on those hours. It's an easy way to get some hours!

Be aware - there are currently no solicitors with valid permits to solicit or peddle in the Town of Southeast. Should someone come to your door to sell you something, you have the right to report it.
Be aware - there are currently no solicitors with valid permits to solicit or peddle in the Town of Southeast. Should someone come to your door to sell you something, you have the right to report it. Call the Building Department at 845-279-2123 during Town business hours (Monday through Friday 9am-4:30pm) and Putnam County Sheriff at 845-225-4300 after hours and on the weekend to report the incident.
